UN ENCUENTRO EN LA SEGUNDA DIMENSIÓN (a meeting at the Second Dimension)

When almost a year and a half ago I proposed to Helena Sainz to embark on an artistic collaboration combinating her work and mine, she looked at me skeptically. And it is not surprising: anyone who sees his drawings and my photographs will think that they do not look like anything. But is this really true, or is there a common background, not visible to the naked eye, derived from the concerns that unite us? In any case, Helena accepted, and here I am, offering you the results of our meeting in the Second Dimension.
And what is that about the Second Dimension? I find twoexplanations. The first is simple: both the drawings and the photographs are two-dimensional creations that  we watch on paper or on a screen. The second explanation is something more imaginative: if we accept that the First Dimension is constituted by what is "real", we can define a Second Dimension formed by all the imaginary, including Art. It is true that works of art have a physical reality but, before reaching that, there is a "First Creation", a series of mental processes, intimate, subjective, that precede them. So it is clear: we are facing a meeting in the Second Dimension in full rule.
